The US House of Representatives has supported a bill with new aid for Ukraine, while experts continue to assess the prospects for further American support. Western analysts report signs of depletion of Russian offensive capabilities and changes on the front. At the same time, Ukrainian experience in the field of drones and satellite reconnaissance is attracting increasing interest from international partners.<\/span><\/p>

The US House of Representatives has supported aid to Ukraine and new sanctions against Russia<\/b><\/p>

The US House of Representatives <\/span>has approved<\/span><\/a> the Ukraine Support Act, which provides for new aid to Ukraine and the introduction of additional sanctions against Russia. 226 congressmen voted for the document, while 195 opposed it. Several Republicans played a decisive role in bringing the bill to a vote, who, together with Democrats, supported a special procedure for consideration. In total, 18 Republicans and one independent MP, who usually supports the Republican Party, voted for the adoption of the document.<\/span><\/p>

The document provides for more than $ 1 billion in aid to Ukraine, as well as the possibility of providing up to $ 8 billion in direct loans. In addition, the bill contains tough sanctions against the financial sector, oil industry, mining industry and Russian officials. At the same time, the future of the initiative remains uncertain, since in order to enter into force it must be supported by the US Senate. If the document is approved by the upper house of Congress, Donald Trump, as noted in the Reuters material, may use the right of veto.<\/span><\/p>

Ukraine may become a political victory for Trump<\/b><\/p>

In a March 2022 Reuters <\/span>Washington Post<\/span><\/a> note that US President Donald Trump has the opportunity to change the political agenda around his presidency due to the events in Ukraine. In his opinion, despite the decline in ratings within the country and the difficult situation in the Middle East, it is the war between Ukraine and Russia that opens up new opportunities for Washington. The article notes that after more than four years of full-scale confrontation, Ukraine has not only retained its statehood, but also begun to change the balance of power on the battlefield. The author emphasizes that the country's survival in the fight against an enemy with a much larger economy and population has already become one of the most important military achievements of our time.<\/span><\/p>

The article notes that the Russian army is gradually losing its main advantage - the ability to compensate for large losses by constantly replenishing its personnel. The pace of advance of troops has slowed down, and achievements on the front are no longer measured in kilometers, but in meters. At the same time, Ukraine is actively developing its own drone industry and plans to produce more than 7 million drones during the year. It also emphasizes the important role of European allies, who, after the reduction of American support, have taken on most of the assistance to Kyiv, in particular through the launch of a 90 billion euro financial support package from the European Union.<\/span><\/p>

Foreign Affairs reports turning point in war in favor of Ukraine<\/b><\/p>

An article in the magazine <\/span>Foreign Affairs<\/span><\/a> states that the war in Ukraine is approaching an important turning point. The authors of the article note that after the unsuccessful counteroffensive of 2023, Russian troops retained the initiative for a long time, but recently the situation has begun to change. According to their assessment, Ukrainian commanders are increasingly reporting a decrease in the effectiveness of Russian attacks and a weakening of pressure on certain sections of the front. In Kyiv, according to the authors of the publication, cautious optimism is growing about the possibility of forcing Moscow to agree to a ceasefire.<\/span><\/p>

As noted in Foreign Affairs, the changes became possible thanks to improved military training, reforms of the command system and more effective use of drones, artillery and other means of destruction. The article notes that Ukrainian forces were able to stabilize the situation on the front and in some places switch to local offensive operations, maintaining a more favorable ratio of losses. At the same time, the Russian army, as the article claims, is increasingly facing problems in training personnel, coordinating units and managing troops.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Trump administration delays large-scale agreement on Ukrainian drones<\/b><\/p>

The Donald Trump administration is not in a hurry to conclude a large-scale agreement with Ukraine in the field of unmanned technologies, despite repeated calls from President Volodymyr Zelensky. The Ukrainian side proposes to conclude a bilateral document on cooperation in the field of drones, which could become one of the largest projects of this type in the world. Experts <\/span>note<\/span><\/a>, that the United States is already trying to adopt Ukrainian experience in conducting unmanned warfare, but practical solutions are being delayed. Washington does not officially explain the reasons for the lack of progress.<\/span><\/p>

Analysts believe that such a delay could negatively affect American defense capabilities. According to them, Ukraine has created one of the most effective systems for the development, production and use of drones in modern war conditions. At the same time, it is reported that the Pentagon is interested in access to Ukrainian technologies and intellectual property for further use in the United States. The Ukrainian authorities also emphasize that cooperation can be mutually beneficial, since American companies possess advanced artificial intelligence technologies, while Ukraine has unique combat experience.<\/span><\/p>

Commercial satellites help Ukraine strike Russian troops faster<\/b><\/p>

The Ukrainian military is increasingly using commercial satellite images to detect and destroy targets on the front. New technologies allow receiving high-quality images in almost real time directly to the phones, tablets and laptops of servicemen. Thanks to this, units can more quickly detect enemy equipment and objects even in difficult camouflage conditions. According to <\/span>participants <\/span><\/a>of the project, the time from target detection to its destruction has been reduced by approximately 90%.<\/span><\/p>

The technology is the result of cooperation between several companies from the United States, the Netherlands, and Ukraine. The system allows you to compare current satellite images with archival materials, track changes in the terrain, and use artificial intelligence to identify potential targets. Ukrainian military officials say this helps save time and resources, as well as reduce dependence on reconnaissance drones, which can be shot down or suppressed by electronic warfare. Experts believe that Ukraine is actually demonstrating a new approach to warfare, where the speed of intelligence transmission becomes one of the key factors for success.<\/span><\/p>
