Ukrainian actress and star of "Star Wars: Ahsoka" Ivanna Sakhno recorded a video message to Ukrainian Olympians and all people with a call for peace on the eve of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The actress is an ambassador for UNITED24 and supported the #TheLastOlympics campaign of the Ukrainian World Congress and the Ukrainian American Coordinating Council.
Sakhno expressed her unwavering solidarity with Ukraine and emphasized the need to celebrate not only athletic achievement, but also human dignity and unity in the face of tyranny and aggression.
The project thelastolympics.org calls on the free world to support Ukraine so that this Olympics in Paris will not be the last. Just like in 1936, when Germany hosted a magnificent Olympics just before the flames of war engulfed the world.
The project's website also contains information about the 488 Ukrainian athletes killed by Russia, who could have participated in the world's greatest competitions if not for Russia's aggression.
