The Third World Forum of Ukrainian Saturday and Sunday Schools, organized by the International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations, will be held at the Lviv National Polytechnic University on August 21-23. The event includes the VIII International Conference "Ukrainian Language in the World".

"This is an event aimed at uniting all those who care about the Ukrainian language and Ukrainian studies in the world. It is a communication platform aimed at finding answers to the challenges faced by the Ukrainian educational community abroad in connection with the full-scale war and the mass emigration of Ukrainians". the organizers noted.
For three days, educators, practitioners, scholars, government officials, representatives of Ukrainian cultural centers abroad, and public figures discussed issues of Ukrainian education abroad. Namely, the decolonization of education abroad, the teaching of Ukrainian studies, and Ukrainian education abroad after February 24, 2022. They also discussed the Ukrainian language in the world today and described a vision of its future.
Pavlo Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress, also addressed the forum.
"Ukrainian schools are among the key institutions of Ukrainian community life outside Ukraine. Along with Ukrainian churches, youth organizations, cultural groups, student associations, professional organizations, social institutions, and political and community groups, they are the foundation that promotes the education of Ukrainian patriots and leaders in the Diaspora", Grod said.
Within the framework of the Forum the VIII international scientific and practical conference "Ukrainian language in the world" was held. It included panel discussions, speeches of special guests and round tables. In addition, participants will take part in the Creative Ideas Lab, World Cafes and presentations.
This year's forum was dedicated to the memory of Anna Kisil and Stefan Romaniw, prominent leaders of the Ukrainian World Congress and activists of the Ukrainian movement abroad, whose lives and tireless work were dedicated to Ukraine.
