In New York, at the Shevchenko Scientific Society, a presentation of the research conducted by Olenka Tsyhankova, the first fellow of the Borshch of Art Fellowship program, took place. The event was part of a large-scale project exploring the influence of Ukrainian crafts on contemporary American art.

Olenka Tsyhankova presented the results of her work, including the key ideas for her upcoming article, "Memory Threads: Ukrainian Crafts Woven into the Tapestry of Contemporary American Art," which will be published soon.
In a dialogue with the program's mentor, Ksenia Nouril, PhD Olenka shared her experience participating in the program and emphasized the importance of documenting Ukrainian-American art.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to everyone who supported the program, including Yhe Shevchenko Scientific Society, Vasyl Makhno, and Anastasia Denysenko, as well as the board of directors and benefactors who helped make this project a reality.
“We were delighted to see so many people in the room at the presentation of our inaugural Ukrainian-American Art Fellowship program on January 21. The high attendance on a frosty evening underscored the relevance of our mission and the need to highlight the stories of Ukrainian-American artists,” the organizers noted.
