Charity Run in Philadelphia Raises Funds to Support Ukraine’s Women Defenders

A charity run, "Run for Ukraine’s Women Defenders," was held in Philadelphia to honor Ukrainian women serving in the military, veterans, and volunteers. The event was organized by the Ukrainian community of Philadelphia and the In Unity UA initiative as part of Women’s History Month.

This was reported by In Unity UA.

According to In Unity UA, more than 50 participants joined the run, expressing solidarity with Ukrainian women defending their country. The route started and finished near the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps and followed the scenic Kelly Drive.

"This is more than just a run. It’s a symbol of support and recognition of the crucial role women play in Ukraine’s Armed Forces," the organizers emphasized.

Thanks to the generosity of participants and donors, the event raised $2,052, which will be donated to the Veteranka Foundation. "Ukraine’s women defenders are not alone. Their fight is our fight. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this important cause. Glory to Ukraine!" the organizers stated.

The event was a vivid example of international support for Ukraine, reaffirming that solidarity knows no borders.
