On the first day of summer, the Ukrainian Dance School at the DC Music Academy held its third annual concert at the Ukrainian Catholic Shrine of the Holy Family in Washington, DC.
The festive performance brought together dozens of children who had mastered the art of traditional Ukrainian dance throughout the year. After months of rehearsals, training, and hard work, the participants demonstrated their acquired skills and genuine love for Ukrainian culture on stage.
The touching event marked the end of a busy academic season, with colorful costumes, folk music, and the sincere emotions of parents in the audience creating an atmosphere of warmth, family, and pride.
"Our annual concert was the final, beautiful note in a year-long journey. For months, we danced, learned, laughed, stumbled, and got back up again — and today, our children took to the stage like real stars," shared Anastasia Rudenko, one of the academy's trainers.
