Americans Divided on Aid to Ukraine

According to a Pew Research Center poll, 48% of respondents say the United States should provide aid to Ukraine, while 49% say the opposite. Among Republicans, 62% oppose aid, while among Democrats, 63% support it.

Regarding the amount of aid, 29% of Americans say the U.S. is providing too much aid to Ukraine, 26% say it is providing about the right amount and 19% say it is not providing enough. A plurality of Democrats, 36%, say the U.S. is providing about the right amount of aid, while 27% say the U.S. is providing too little. Among Republicans, however, 47% say the U.S. gives too much aid.

45% of Democrats say Russia's invasion of Ukraine is the greatest threat to U.S. interests, while just 26% of Republicans share that view.
