The United States has agreed to equip the F-16 fighter jets Ukraine will receive from its European allies with American missiles.
The weapons will include AGM-88 HARM air-to-ground missiles, JDAM guided bombs and GLSDB precision-guided munitions. The transfer of medium-range AMRAAM and short-range AIM-9X air-to-air missiles is also planned.
The timing of the transfer of F-16s and weapons has not been disclosed for security reasons, but it is stated that Ukraine will receive enough missiles and ammunition to meet its most urgent needs.
It is worth noting that Ukraine has already received the first shipment of the promised F-16 fighters.
