The logo was designed by Andrii Sobchuk, a native of Lutsk who moved to Canada during the war in Ukraine. The design incorporates elements of Ukrainian embroidery, including geometric patterns and octagonal stars, symbolizing harmony and balance. The use of blue and yellow colors, reflecting the Ukrainian flag, emphasizes the connection with the cultural heritage of Ukraine.
Sobchuk noted that he is happy to present Ukrainian culture through sports, and the Winnipeg Jets plan to hold the first Ukrainian Heritage Night to honor the contribution of the Ukrainian community to the life of Manitoba. The game against the Anaheim Ducks will take place at 19:00, where the cultural traditions of Ukraine will be demonstrated.
