The US administration remains committed to supporting Ukraine and Israel to ensure their ability to withstand external aggression. Deputy Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh stressed that the situation in these countries is different and so is the US commitment. She stressed the importance of working with Congress to avoid delays in military aid, as has been the case with previous packages for both countries.

"This administration, this department, continues to support both countries in meeting the various needs that they have", Singh said.
She also commented on the US decision to deploy the THAAD system only in Israel to protect against potential attacks from Iran, bypassing NATO allies in Europe to protect western Ukraine from missile attacks.
"These are different wars, different regions and different commitments to Israel and Ukraine", she said.
Singh also stressed that President Joe Biden remains committed to supporting Ukraine for as long as it takes.
At the same time, she recalled the importance of working with Congress to ensure timely military assistance to avoid delays, as happened late last year with aid packages to Ukraine and Israel.
