A workshop on the traditional Ukrainian art of painting Easter eggs was held at the South Bound Brook Library in New Jersey. The event, organized by the Ukrainian History and Education Center (UHEC), brought together participants who created unique New Year's decorations - Pysankas painted with snow ornaments.

During the course, the participants mastered the technique of wax painting on blown chicken shells step by step. The master class used special tools such as bones, wax, open fire and dyes to complete the artwork. The finished Easter eggs became original Christmas tree decorations or wonderful gifts for loved ones.
All necessary materials were provided by the organizers, and those who wished could purchase additional egg making kits.
This event was made possible by the Somerset County Commission on Culture and Heritage, in partnership with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
The master class was a bright holiday event that helped preserve Ukrainian traditions and brought joy to New Year's Eve.
