Ukrainian Culture Shines at San Diego's December Nights Festival

On December 6-7, San Diego hosted the city's largest international holiday celebration, the December Nights Festival, in picturesque Balboa Park. The event brought together thousands of guests who enjoyed the magic of holiday lights, music, entertainment and delicious food from around the world.

This was reported by House of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian spirit at the festival was represented by the House of Ukraine pavilion, where guests were treated to traditional dishes. These included the famous borsch, potato and cheese dumplings served with sour cream and fried onions, as well as crispy Crimean chebureks, cabbage, sweets, hot drinks and Ukrainian beverages. Souvenirs were also available for purchase at the event.

The Ukrainian community also demonstrated its culture during the music portion of the international festival. The band U3zub performed fiery ethno-rock songs on the stage, as well as carolers from the House of Ukraine. Their songs drew a large audience to the stage, creating a true celebration of Ukrainian culture.

The Ukrainian part of the festival was organized by the House of Ukraine Cultural Museum, which has been promoting Ukrainian culture to San Diegans and visitors for many years. This event reminded us once again that Ukrainian cuisine, music, and traditions can fascinate people all over the world.
