Ukrainian band TNMK has announced a U.S. tour with the New Ukrainian Nativity Scene program, which combines traditional nativity scenes with modern remakes of hit songs. The performances will take place in six cities, starting in Austin on December 19. The tour promotes Ukrainian culture to local communities and supports the Ukrainian Army. A portion of the proceeds will be used to purchase first aid kits for the military.
This was reported by the American Coalition for Ukraine.
The tour is organized by the American company Moloko with the support of the American Coalition for Ukraine.
"We are pleased to once again work with Moloko and TNMK to promote Ukrainian culture in the United States. "The New Ukrainian Vertep combines traditional nativity scenes with modern remakes of TNMK's hits. Thanks to the partial adaptation into English, it is an ideal way to share Ukrainian culture with local communities," the press service of the American Coalition for Ukraine told Vilni Media.
TNMK has been actively supporting the Ukrainian army since 2014. Some of the band's members serve in the military, and proceeds from the sale of their branded merchandise go toward first aid kits for the military and support for Ukraine's Defense Intelligence Service during the tour.
As noted by the American Coalition for Ukraine, in addition to the concerts, a charity auction will be held in each city to support the Ukraine Action Summit in the spring of 2025.
The Ukrainian band will visit six cities in the United States as part of the tour:
- December 19 - Austin, Texas
- December 20 - Washington, DC
- December 21 - Whippany, New Jersey
- December 26 - Detroit, Michigan
- December 27 - Cleveland, Ohio
- December 28-29 - Chicago, IL (special concert)
Tickets for these concerts are available link.
