Pentagon: US sends $275 million in military aid to Ukraine

This is the 70th military aid package that Ukraine has received from the United States during Joe Biden's presidency. This time the cost of military supplies is $275 million.

This was reported by the US Department of Defense.

"As part of the increased security assistance that President Biden announced on September 26 to ensure Ukraine is in the strongest possible position, the Department of Defense today announced additional security assistance to meet Ukraine's critical security and defense needs," the statement said.

The Pentagon noted that the new package includes weapons, equipment and supplies totaling $275 million. Namely, HIMARS missiles, 155mm and 105mm artillery rounds, mortar rounds, unmanned systems, TOW and AT-4 antitank weapons, and small arms ammunition.

In addition, the United States is providing demolition equipment and ammunition; chemical, biological, and nuclear defense equipment; and spare parts for previously allocated equipment.

"The United States will continue to work with some 50 allies and partners through the Ukraine Defense Liaison Group and its coalition of capabilities to meet Ukraine's urgent battlefield needs and defend against Russian aggression," the Pentagon added.
