In Punta Gorda, Florida, the Ukrainian Community of South Florida for the first time became the largest delegation at the sixth annual International CultureFest held in Fishermen's Village.

CultureFest in Punta Gorda is an annual festival that brings together communities from around the world. The large-scale event, dedicated to celebrating cultural diversity, included a Parade of Nations, performances by traditional music and dance groups from different countries.
The Ukrainian community, led by Marina Savage, a member of the UNWLA (Ukrainian Women's League of America) of North Port, captivated guests with a lively presentation of Ukrainian traditions.
Throughout the evening, the Sunset Beach Club Stage featured live international music and cultural dance performances. A special moment of the festival was the performance of the Svitanok Children's Choir, founded in April 2024 in North Port. The children performed Ukrainian songs and a prayer for peace in Ukraine.
On stage, representatives of the Ukrainian delegation emphasized the importance of supporting Ukrainian culture in the Diaspora, preserving the language and connecting the younger generation with their native traditions.
In addition, artisan vendors along the indoor Breezeway showcased handmade products, accessories, gems, and educational exhibits from various countries. Guatemala, Indonesia, the Bahamas, Chile, and Ukraine presented their work alongside the countries of Guatemala, Indonesia, and Ukraine.
