As part of Ukrainian Week in Washington, D.C., Ukraine House hosted a significant reception that brought together representatives of religious communities from Ukraine, Israel, and the United States. The event aimed to strengthen spiritual support for Ukraine in its struggle for freedom and to remind the world of the importance of unity during this critical time.
This was reported by Ukraine House.
The prayer gathering was attended by Metropolitan Epiphanius, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine; Metropolitan Yevstratiy Zorya of Bila Tserkva; Chief Rabbi of Kyiv and Ukraine Yaakov Dov Bleich; and Serhii Pochapskyi, Honorary Pastor of SOL Church and Head of the Ukrainian Western Baptist Association in the U.S. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of faith and spiritual support in times of war and called for unity in the common struggle for freedom.

Also speaking at the event was Yaroslav Bazylevych, who lost his wife and three daughters in a russian missile strike on Lviv in September 2024.
"Through his grief, he urged the world to stand strong with Ukraine and provide the necessary support for Ukrainians to defend their families and homeland. Photos of his deceased loved ones will be preserved in the memorial for victims of russian aggression at Ukraine House," the event organizers stated.

The reception took place as part of Ukrainian Week in Washington, held from February 3 to 8, 2025. This large-scale event gathered over 1,000 political, business, religious, and military leaders to strengthen relations between Ukraine and the United States. The event was organized by Pavlo Unguryan, a former member of the Ukrainian parliament.
