In Shorewood, Wisconsin, on the eve of the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the charity concert “Unbroken – A Benefit Concert for Ukraine” took place. The event brought together nearly 400 participants and raised approximately $8,000 to provide medical assistance to Ukrainian defenders.

According to the report, the event was organized by Wisconsin Ukrainians, Inc. at St. Robert Catholic Church in Shorewood. The concert was held on Saturday and was dedicated to nearly four years since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.
Nearly 400 people gathered to express solidarity, honor the resilience of the Ukrainian people, and support those defending their homeland.
In particular, as part of the event, the organization presented a donation of approximately $8,000 to Revived Soldiers Ukraine. The funds will be directed toward providing life-saving medical care and prosthetics for Ukrainian defenders who have lost limbs as a result of the war.
“Some believe that Ukraine should be grateful for the support,” said Halyna Salapata, President of Wisconsin Ukrainians, Inc.
“But, as Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated, it is the free world that should be grateful to Ukraine — grateful to the soldiers who are defending not only their homes, but also the security and stability of Europe and the democratic world,” the statement emphasized.
According to the organizers, the charity concert program featured Ukrainian performers, church choirs, as well as a special vocal performance by a Ukrainian veteran. Guests also had the opportunity to view a presentation of traditional Ukrainian women’s attire representing various regions of Ukraine.
“Saturday’s gathering was not only a cultural event, but also a clear message: the war continues, and Ukraine has not been forgotten,” the organizers concluded.
