Lviv Choir “Homin” is going on its first tour of North America

The Ukrainian Municipal Choir “Homin” of the Lviv Organ Hall is going on its first large-scale tour of North America. Under the leadership of conductor Vadym Yatsenko, the group will give about two dozen concerts in the USA and Canada, presenting a program of Ukrainian retro songs “This choir, this choir, I dream every night”, which has already become a real hit in Ukraine and has conquered social media users.

The American part of the tour will cover key cities, including Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, where the concert will take place on April 21, as well as Chicago, Detroit and Charlotte. The Canadian part includes performances in Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.

The program includes a new interpretation of Ukrainian pop classics: songs by Volodymyr Ivasyuk, Anatoly Horchynsky, as well as hits that were once performed by Kvitka Tsisyk and Nazariy Yaremchuk. Famous melodies will be performed in modern choral interpretations, combining tradition and innovation.

In addition to the cultural mission, the tour also has a charitable component. The proceeds go to support the Defense Forces of Ukraine. In 2025-2026, thanks to the choir's concerts, it has already been possible to collect more than 25 million hryvnias. With these funds, it was possible to purchase cars, drones, and provide targeted assistance to those who suffered from the war with Russia and to Ukrainian defenders.

“The “Homin” choir has won the love of the public throughout Ukraine and far beyond its borders. We are happy that true Ukrainian choral art is alive, it sounds today in full voice in Europe and flows across the ocean. We proudly represent our culture, our identity, our song on both sides of the Atlantic. “Homin” unites hearts, unites Ukrainians all over the world,” says one of the directors of the Lviv Organ Hall, Taras Demko.

Background

The “Homin” choir, founded in 1988 in Lviv, is today one of the most famous Ukrainian choral groups. It is called the “voice of the Ukrainian soul,” and its concerts are sold out both in Ukraine and abroad. The North American tour will be an important stage in the popularization of Ukrainian musical culture across the ocean.
