Maryland’s Ukrainian Community Calls for Support of Campaign to Cancel Vadim Repin’s Performance at Maryland Hall

Join our campaign to cancel Putin’s violinist’s performance at Maryland Hall – Annapolis, Maryland.

More than 500 people have already signed a petition launched by Ukrainian Activists of Maryland and endorsed by Arts Against Aggression, demanding that the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra cancel a performance by Putin’s violinist Vadim Repin at Maryland Hall.

We are calling on the leaders of Razom for Ukraine, American Coalition for Ukraine, Ukraine House, United Help Ukraine, U.S.-Ukraine Foundation, Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, Ukraine Volya Foundation, US Ukrainian Activists, and other Ukrainian organizations to join our campaign.

We believe it is morally indefensible to grant a platform at Maryland Hall—located next to the state legislature—to a violinist who supports Putin.

This is not merely about an individual artist; it is about refusing to allow state-sponsored cultural figures to normalize the actions of a regime that is actively engaged in the systematic murder of Ukrainian artists and the destruction of their cultural heritage. We must remain vigilant against how such platforms are used to obscure the reality of state aggression.
