In Glenview, Ukrainian Veterans and the Community Marched in Support of Ukraine

Ukrainians and Americans marched in support of Ukraine during the Independence Day parade in Glenview, Illinois. Along the parade route, participants were greeted with cheers and applause.

The march was organized by Stefaniia Sondei, Zoryana Podolna, Natalia Baranchan and other community members. Ukraine’s Consul General in Chicago, Kostyantyn Vorona, also took part.

Four Ukrainian veterans joined the march despite serious injuries they sustained while defending Ukraine. Their participation underscored the human cost of the war and the resilience of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians.

The nonprofit organization Revived Soldiers Ukraine provides prosthetics and medical treatment to the veterans.

The group’s participation in the Independence Day parade connected the celebration of American independence with support for Ukraine’s defense of sovereignty and democratic principles.
