Ahead of the annual Soyuzivka 2026 Ukrainian Festival, the Svitanok in New York team, together with members of the Ukrainian community from Cleveland, visited the Heroes of Ukraine Memorial at the Ukrainian Youth Association (SUM) grounds in Ellenville, New York. Participants honored the memory of Ukraine’s defenders, emphasizing the importance of preserving historical memory and the responsibility of every Ukrainian for the future of their homeland.

Participants noted that the Ukrainian diaspora continues to strengthen national identity, preserve Ukrainian traditions, and foster community life abroad. They stressed that honoring the memory of Ukraine’s heroes is the foundation upon which the future of the Ukrainian nation is built.
The organizers also announced preparations for the Soyuzivka 2026 Ukrainian Festival, which this year marks 20 years of promoting Ukrainian culture, music, cuisine, and art among residents of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and visitors from across North America. More than 3,000 guests are expected to attend, with the Ukrainian band TNMK and other performers headlining the festival’s musical program.
As part of the festival preparations, organizers have opened applications for Ukrainian organizations and businesses interested in advertising on the large LED screen located next to the main stage. Promotional materials will be displayed throughout the festival weekend between concerts and during peak attendance hours, providing exposure to thousands of festival visitors.
The organizers noted that advertising space is limited and that participation offers Ukrainian entrepreneurs and community organizations an opportunity to showcase their work to a broad audience while supporting one of the largest Ukrainian festivals in the United States.
