Ukrainians in the United States have held rallies demanding that Russia be held accountable for the attack on the children's hospital.

Ukrainian communities, volunteers and organisations in various cities across the United States joined the emergency rallies. Protesters formed long chains and marched through city streets with banners, posters and flags in support of Ukraine.

Washington, DC:

Dozens of demonstrators marched to the White House to demand more support for Ukraine from US and NATO leaders at the upcoming summit against Russia. The protesters also condemned Russia's missile attacks on Ukrainian cities, including a missile strike on a children's hospital in Kyiv, and asked the US to protect Ukrainian airspace from Russian missiles.

Detroit:

The Ukrainian-American Crisis Response Committee of Michigan organised a rally at Hart Plaza in Detroit to draw attention to Russia's most powerful bombardment of the nation's capital in recent months. Dozens of people from the Ukrainian community gathered near the Joe Louis memorial. At the rally, the organization wanted to draw attention to the Kyiv hospital's need for emergency equipment and medicines.

Chicago:

In Chicago, activists took to the streets of the city centre. During the rally, demonstrators spoke out against Russian terror and called for more military support for Ukraine. Demonstrators held placards and laid out children's toys stained red on the asphalt in front of them.
