Ukrainian flags fly for the first time in Toronto on Soldiers' Day

For the first time in history, Ukraine participated in the Soldiers' Day parade in Toronto. The event was attended by Ukrainian military personnel, who demonstrated blue and yellow colors on the streets of Canada's largest city.

This was reported by the Consul General of Ukraine in Toronto, Oleg Nikolenko.

Expressing great pride in the implementation of this important project, the representatives of the Ukrainian side thanked our defenders for their participation, as well as the management of the Canadian National Exhibition for the opportunity.

"Ukraine is fighting not only for its freedom, but also for the freedom of the democratic world. We honor our soldiers and thank them for their protection", writes Oleg Nikolenko.

Toronto's Warriors Day Parade has been held since 1921 to honor the men and women who serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. The invitation to Ukraine to participate this year is a confirmation of the strong friendship between the two countries.
