Centennial Park in Toronto hosted the largest Ukrainian Independence Day celebration in North America. It was an unforgettable day of culture, music, food and fun.
This was said by the Ukrainian Canadian Congress.
"This year's Ukrainian Independence Day has a deep meaning for the Ukrainian community. It is a day marked not only by pride, but also by the profound sacrifices made to preserve the freedom of their country. This celebration is especially moving as it honors the blood, sweat and courage of the Ukrainian military who heroically defend their homeland", noted the Ukrainian Canadian Congress.
The 33rd anniversary of Ukraine's independence was celebrated in style with a grand opening and open-air concert. Local talented artists and bands performed on the stage.
A festive atmosphere prevailed throughout the day, with dozens of festival guests dressed in traditional holiday attire.
There was also a beer garden and a traditional "fair" with a wide variety of embroidered and handmade products. At the festival, everyone could find a booth with a large map of Ukraine and mark where their family is from. The festival also offered delicious Ukrainian food and drinks. The children's corner offered a variety of entertainment and activities for children with a children's train.
