Kozak Siromaha launches “Ukrainian Freedom Folk” tour in the U.S. in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Ukrainian Freedom Folk tour continues in the United States, with Ukrainian musician Kozak Siromaha already having visited such cities as New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Virginia Beach, and Buffalo. Tonight he will perform in Atlanta, with concerts in St. Louis, Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, and San Francisco to follow. The purpose of the tour is to raise funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reads on the musician's page.

"Thank you, Ivan, for coming to our church and showing us the powerful songs and storytelling that Cossacks have. Ukrainian Cossacks were nomads who led a military lifestyle and earned their livelihood through war and crafts (hunting, fishing, later trade, and agriculture). In 1775, the Russian empress Catherine II (the Great) ordered the destruction of Zaporizhzhia Sich (their large housing complexs) and the liquidation of the Cossack people. The Russian Empire saw danger in the freedom-loving Cossacks, who could start revolutions and undermine the empire" - thanked for the concert at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The purpose of the charity tour is not only to popularize Ukrainian culture, but also to raise funds for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular to support the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade. KOZAK SIROMAHA through its music, which combines ancient Cossack songs and modern interpretations, appeals to the hearts of Ukrainians and the whole world, inspiring them to help the soldiers who defend the freedom of Ukraine.

Kozak Siromaha is known for his principled stance and commitment to Cossack traditions. He hasn't used a cell phone for 8 years, is raising three children according to Cossack customs, and begins each day with a conversation with his Heavenly Father. The musician emphasizes that being a Cossack is not only about external attributes, but also about inner strength, which manifests itself through love for one's country, honor and dignity.
