The Ukrainian Community of Boston invites book lovers to the third meeting of the Book Club at Sokolya Ukrainian Books.

We are pleased to announce the third meeting of the Book Club at Sokolya Ukrainian Books. Come and join us! It will be interesting, inspiring and cosy. I am pleased to invite you to discuss the life and work of Olena Pchilka,' reads the invitation.
The meeting will take place on 29 October at 19:00 (EDT) online via Zoom and will be dedicated to discussing the life and work of Olena Pchilka, in particular her short story 'Comrades'.
Participation in the club is free, but pre-registration is required. Participants also have the opportunity to purchase the book of the month at a discount and receive a reading diary for interactive reading.
Book lovers meet monthly to discuss books with club moderator Viktoria Barbaniuk and bookstore owner Oksana Gluska.
Oksana Gluska is the owner of Sokolya Ukrainian Books and an ambassador for Ukrainian books and cinema in the United States. Oksana loves to read with her children and writes poetry and fairy tales.
Вікторія Барбанюк – модераторка книжкового клубу Sokolya. Вікторія родом з Кам’янця-Подільського в Україні, але навчалась та проживала в Києві, Нью-Йорку, а наразі – в Сан-Дієго, Каліфорнія. Вона працює аналітикинею у сфері житлової політики та урбаністики в дослідницькій організації в місті Нью-Йорк, а у вільний час багато читає і популяризує читання серед української громади в Сан-Дієго.
