A high-level security forum, “America’s Adversaries: The Russia Reality,” was held in the U.S. capital to discuss the growing threat Russia poses to the United States, Ukraine, and allies around the world. The panelists included U.S. politicians, national security experts, diplomats, and Ukrainian world boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk.

This was reported by the Independent Women and the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States.

The event, organized by the Washington-based think tank Independent Women, was held on June 10 at the historic Decatur House in Washington. The focus of the discussion was on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, Moscow’s cooperation with Iran, China, and North Korea, Russia’s cyberattacks and intelligence activities against the United States, and the consequences of the war for global security.

The discussion was attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Olga Stefanishyna, the US Special Representative for Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg (retired), former Deputy Secretary of State of the United States, Stephen Biegun, representatives of the expert community, think tanks and American media.

One of the main guests of the forum was two-time absolute world boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk. During the discussion, he emphasized the common values that unite Ukrainians and Americans - faith, family and love for their country.

The participants of the event emphasized that Ukrainians are fighting not for abstract ideals, but for the right to live a peaceful life, raise children, work and develop their communities without the constant threat of missile strikes.

Ambassador Olga Stefanishyna stated, that Russia poses an increasing threat not only to Ukraine and Europe, but also to the national security and strategic interests of the United States and its allies. According to her, modern challenges require a joint response of democratic states and the preservation of strong international leadership.

“Russia’s war against Ukraine is not an isolated conflict – it is part of a broader effort by America’s adversaries to challenge US leadership and shift the global balance of power. This conflict is already transforming modern warfare through innovations in drones, rapid battlefield adaptation and next-generation military tactics,” noted Independent Women
