US President Joe Biden is due to arrive in Germany this week after postponing his visit due to Hurricane Milton. His visit will be limited to one day - Friday 18 October - and will not include any Ramstein meetings. It is currently questionable whether the issue of Ukraine will be raised during his visit. A growing number of politicians and media outlets are now inclined to believe that there will be no high-level consultations on support for Ukraine in the near future.

German government spokesman Wolfgang Buechner reaffirmed, that Joe Biden will meet with Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to discuss the war in Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East. Earlier, Der Spiegel also wrote about the possible arrival of the US president on these dates.

ZDF, on the other hand, said, that a new meeting of the Ramsteins could only take place after the US presidential elections. This is because the election campaign could be influenced by the 'Ukraine factor'. However, there is no official confirmation of this yet.
