Ukraine has received another $1.35 billion grant from the United States, which will be used to implement humanitarian and social programs. The funds were provided by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in cooperation with the U.S. Treasury and State Department.
This was reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
"Today, Ukraine received a grant from the United States in the amount of $1.35 billion. The funds will be used to reimburse priority social and humanitarian expenditures of the state budget, in particular, to ensure the payment of salaries to teachers," the statement said.
Ukraine's Finance Ministry reported that a total of $7.8 billion in budget support from the United States is planned for this year, of which $5.2 billion has already been received.
According to Finance Minister Sergiy Marchenko, since February 2022, the United States has provided Ukraine with $28.2 billion in direct budget support, which is the largest contribution among all partner countries.
