"Paws for Ukraine Dog Walk & Festival" Raised $9,000 for Animal Rescue in Ukraine

An inspiring event called the Paws for Ukraine Dog Walk & Festival took place in San Diego, California. The initiative, supported by the local community, raised more than $9,000 to help animals affected by the war in Ukraine. The funds will be used to help Shield of Freedom and Worldwide Vets provide critical aid, shelter and care to the animals.

This was reported by one of the event organizers Paradise Pet Care.

"The war in Ukraine has affected countless lives, including those of vulnerable animals. Together, Shield of Freedom and Worldwide Vets are providing critical aid and resources on the front lines, and they need our help," the organizers said.

The event was held at the picturesque NTC Park Liberty Station and gathered a large number of participants - dog owners and supporters of Ukraine. The main event was a 2-kilometer run in which participants ran with their furry friends.

In addition to the run, guests could enjoy live music by the Ukrainian rock band U3Zub, get advice from veterinarians, take part in dog training sessions with professional dog trainers, visit numerous stands with pet products, and participate in raffles. They were also inspired by real-life rescue missions by Shield of Freedom and Worldwide Vets.

In addition to raising funds, the event served as an important reminder of the ongoing difficulties in Ukraine and the need to continue to support the people and animals affected by the war.

"What a wonderful event! We are so grateful to everyone for their support, which helped make this event possible at no cost to the donors. All funds raised, more than 9 thousand dollars, will be used to save and improve the lives of animals in Ukraine," added Paradise Pet Care.
