An urgent protest organized by the Ukrainian community in the U.S. took place at Father Duffy Square in New York City under the slogan, "Stop Russian Terror: Strengthen Ukraine". The event was held in response to recent massive strikes by Russia, which have caused catastrophic consequences for Ukraine’s civilian population.

Dozens of activists gathered, holding posters urging the international community to strengthen military aid to Ukraine and demand the release of prisoners of war. Participants honored the memory of the victims of Russian aggression and addressed world leaders with an appeal.
Organizers emphasized the shocking consequences of Russian attacks in just the past week: over 600 residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, and medical facilities have been left without heat, embassies of several countries have been affected, and a historical sanctuary has been destroyed.
"This is not just a war — this is genocide. Russia’s unpunished aggression is destroying homes, taking lives, and terrorizing an entire nation",the organizers stated.
Those present at the event stressed that global inaction is unacceptable. Protesters called on Ukraine’s allied governments to immediately provide modern military assistance capable of effectively stopping the aggression and protecting civilians.
The protest demonstrated the unity of Ukrainians in the U.S.
"We are sincerely grateful to everyone who joined us, either in person or in spirit. Your presence sends a message to politicians: the world must act", the organizers highlighted.
The Ukrainian community in the U.S. underscores that strengthening Ukraine is not just a fight for its independence but also a struggle for freedom and justice worldwide.
