
This weekend, on the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion of ukraine by russia, massive rallies, marches, and memorial events will take place in various US cities. The purpose of these events is to remember fallen defenders, express solidarity with ukraine, and remind the US government of the importance of continued support for ukraine in its fight for freedom.
Washington, D.C. – Mass Rally and Protest March
In Washington, on Saturday, February 22, the Ukrainian diaspora, together with the Embassy of Ukraine and ukraine supporters from around the world, will gather near the Lincoln Memorial for a large-scale rally to show support for the Ukrainian people and to remind about the ongoing crimes of rf.
The event is organized by US Ukrainian Activists, United Help Ukraine, Razom for Ukraine, Ukraine House, Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, and People of Ukraine Foundation in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA and the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Philadelphia.
After the rally, at 15:30, a protest march will take place from the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to the residence of the russian ambassador (1125 16th St NW).
Organizers ask participants to bring flags, posters, and to express their support for ukraine’s fight for freedom. Gathering begins at 13:30.
Boston – Support Rally
In Boston, on Sunday, February 23, the Ukrainian community and supporters of Ukraine will take part in a march that will begin at 13:00 near the Boston Public Library, from where participants will proceed to the Parkman Bandstand in Boston Common. Organizers encourage attendees to bring Ukrainian flags, symbols, and posters.
At 14:00, a rally will be held on the Parkman Bandstand, during which representatives of the Ukrainian community, religious and political leaders will speak. Participants will emphasize the importance of continued international support for ukraine in its fight for freedom and justice.
The event is organized by the Ukrainian Cultural Center of New England, the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (Boston Chapter), the Ukrainian-American Educational Center, Ukrainian American Veterans, SUM Boston, Plast Boston, Boston Stand With Ukraine, and other local initiatives.
Philadelphia – Mass March

In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on February 23 at 14:00, the Ukrainian community will gather near the Philadelphia Museum of Art, from where at 15:00 a large-scale rally and march in solidarity with the Ukrainian people will begin, proceeding to Philadelphia City Hall. The event is organized by Ukrainian community in Philadelphia with the support of the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Philadelphia.
“For 11 years now, ukraine has heroically resisted russian aggression, which has escalated into the largest and bloodiest conflict in Europe since World War II. On this day, march participants will demand greater support for ukraine and honor the memory of those who gave their lives in the fight for freedom,” note the organizers.
San Francisco – Solidarity March

In San Francisco, on February 23 at 14:00 at Harry Bridges Plaza, the Ukrainian community and supporters of Ukraine will gather for a rally. Afterwards, at 15:15, a column will set off on a march along the Embarcadero to Pier 39. Organizers: Ukrainian American Coordinating Council with the support of Ukraine Support Alliance at Stanford.
The event’s program includes the performance of anthems and speeches by politicians and diplomats. The march will conclude near the Sea Lion Sculpture at Pier 39. Among the guests are host Maria Tscherepenko and the Honorary Consul of Ukraine, Dmytro Kushneruk.
The march is intended not only to honor the memory of the fallen but also to emphasize the importance of continued support for ukraine in its fight for freedom.
San Diego – "Stand with Ukraine Rally"

On Saturday, February 24 at 13:00, in San Diego, California, the Ukrainian community together with allies convening near the El Cid Campeador monument for the "Stand with Ukraine Rally." The event is organized by House of Ukraine.
The "Stand with Ukraine Rally" in San Diego is not just a gathering, but a powerful act of solidarity with those who continue to fight for ukraine’s freedom.
“Today, as voices in the US echo kremlin propaganda, every participant in the rally is a voice of truth. Together we remind: the war is not over, and the fight for justice continues,” note the organizers.
Chicago – Rally and Prayer

On February 24 in downtown Chicago, a massive rally in solidarity with ukraine will take place. The event is organized by the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America and the Consulate General of Ukraine in Chicago.
Participants will gather near the Wrigley Building to remind the world of the resilience of the Ukrainian people and the need for continued international support. After the rally, at 18:00, a prayer for ukraine will be held at Holy Name Cathedral, where participants can honor the memory of the fallen and unite in a collective prayer for peace and victory.
