Ukrainian producers presented over 200 products at “Taste Ukraine” in Washington

The first large-scale presentation of the modern Ukrainian food industry “Taste Ukraine: Flavors of Resilience. Opportunities of Tomorrow” took place in the US capital. The event became the central event of the trade mission of Ukrainian producers to enter the US markets. 30 Ukrainian companies took part in the presentation, presenting over 200 food products to potential American partners.

This was reported by the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA / Посольство України в США and Ukraine House.

“Despite the rainy weather, the guests had an incredible tasting journey that demonstrated the richness of Ukraine’s culinary and agro-industrial heritage, as well as new opportunities in the field of ingredients and production… We hope this story will inspire you to cooperate with Ukrainian producers and discover new opportunities, because Ukraine has something to be proud of and something to share with the world!”, – says the Ukraine House post.

The event was attended by 169 guests, including buyers, distributors, investors, and representatives of the diplomatic corps from various countries. Ukrainian producers had the opportunity to present their brands, negotiate contract manufacturing, and offer solutions to meet the demand of the American market for high-quality and innovative products.

“This event highlighted the opportunities for strengthening ties between the United States and Ukraine through culinary and cultural exchange. Ukrainian producers presented their products and sought partnerships with American distributors, supermarkets, and grocery chains – opening the door to cooperation that goes far beyond gastronomy,” shared Olena Oliynyk, Director of the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation.

The trade mission began with an honorary meeting at the Embassy of Ukraine in Washington. The delegation was led by Serhiy Tkachuk, Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Rights Protection. He held discussions with American colleagues on expanding exports of Ukrainian products to the U.S. market and cooperation in the field of food security. Economic Counselor Igor Baranetsky provided Ukrainian producers with strategic advice for negotiating with potential partners.

Leading Ukrainian companies – MHP, Oliyar, Enzym Group and Meest – provided significant financial and organizational support to the mission. Thanks to their contributions, small and medium-sized producers were able to showcase their products in the United States.

“Taste Ukraine is truly a delicious celebration of sustainability, innovation and Ukrainian taste. Meest USA was honored to support this valuable initiative as a logistics sponsor, ensuring that over 3,500 pounds of Ukrainian produce and display materials were safely transported from Ukraine to Washington, D.C. Behind every jar and slice are incredible Ukrainian brands, proving to the world that Ukraine does not just fuel sustainability, it delivers innovation, quality and unforgettable taste,” – Revived Soldiers Ukraine, in the Meest USA press service.

The initiative was also supported by the international organization Mercy Corps and partner funds UA Resistance Foundation, C Ukraine and Ukrainian OWNED.

The organizers emphasize that TASTE UKRAINE will become a launching pad for expanding the geography of similar events in North America and other continents, contributing to the formation of the image of Ukraine as a center of food innovation and a reliable global partner.

“I attended the “Taste Ukraine” event at Ukraine House – and was very pleasantly impressed by the high level of organization, powerful messages and wonderful Ukrainian products that were presented. And, of course, it was very nice to meet other Ukrainians. Great work!… This event assured me that we will see more and more Ukrainian products on the shelves of the USA”, – shared the impressions of the participant of the event Anna Kostylova.
