Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago Hosts Wounded Defenders of Ukraine

On the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago hosted Ukrainian soldiers undergoing rehabilitation and prosthetics in Minneapolis. During the visit, the guests had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the history of the city's Ukrainian community by viewing archival documents and museum artifacts.

This was reported by the Ukrainian National Museum.

During the visit, the guests learned more about the history of the city's Ukrainian community, viewed archival documents and museum relics. Despite the busy schedule, which included participation in a multi-hour rally and church services, the military noted that they did not want to leave the museum.

Local Ukrainians also came to thank the defenders and express their support. Museum President Lida Tkachuk presented the guests with commemorative museum coins as a token of honor and gratitude.

"It is only thanks to our soldiers that Ukraine is holding back the insatiable horde. It is a great honor for the Ukrainian National Museum to welcome today the defenders who are undergoing rehabilitation and prosthetics in Minneapolis and are visiting Chicago these days," the museum wrote.

Organizers hope the reunion will give the soldiers strength on their road to recovery.
