Ukraine and the world: US rethinks foreign policy, Zelenskyy on dialogue with Trump

Global political trends regarding the war in Ukraine and international cooperation are taking new forms. Washington has temporarily suspended cyber operations against Russia, which has raised concerns among experts. At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he was ready to meet with Trump to "solve real problems." Trump himself insists that the United States should focus more on domestic issues rather than Russian aggression.

Zelenskyy ready to meet with Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, he is ready to meet with Donald Trump if he invites him to "solve real problems."

"We are worthy of equal dialogue... If the US president invites me for a constructive dialogue, for solving real problems, for serious issues and decisive actions, I will come," Zelenskyy said.

According to him, the agreement between Ukraine and the United States on mining is ready and can be signed in the near future. Ukraine does not reject this proposal and is ready to develop cooperation.

Zelenskyy also called for the creation of a "global force" to help Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression. He stressed that the aggressor's recent attacks demonstrate a rejection of intentions for peace talks and called on the international community to increase support for Ukraine.

Trump: US should worry less about Putin

US President Donald Trump said on Truth Social that the country should spend less time worrying about Putin and pay more attention to the problem of fighting illegal immigrants.

"We need to be less worried about Putin and more worried about the gangs of migrant rapists, drug lords, murderers and people from mental institutions coming into our country so we don't end up like Europe," Trump said.

Rubio names conditions for resuming cooperation with Ukraine

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, that Washington is ready to resume cooperation with Ukraine if it is ready to "make peace".

"The United States is ready to resume cooperation when they (Ukraine - ed.) are ready to make peace, which is obviously the goal of President Trump," Rubio said.

He noted that Trump is trying to force the Kremlin to the negotiating table to find a way to end the war. At the same time, he acknowledged that there are no guarantees about the outcome of such negotiations.

The USA suspends cyber operations against Russia

The United States stopped conducting and planning offensive cyber operations against Russia. American experts call this a "serious blow" that will complicate future US cyber attacks on Russia. A pause in cyber operations could make the United States more vulnerable to attacks by Russian hackers, who are able to influence the country's infrastructure and collect intelligence.

The White House did not comment on the details, but the Pentagon assured that the security of the U.S. military remains a priority.

Changes in US foreign policy

The Trump administration is sees cutting off additional military aid to Ukraine and refocusing on strengthening alliances in Latin America. This strategic shift could benefit leaders in countries such as El Salvador, Argentina, and Venezuela.
