Minneapolis Ukrainian community marches in solidarity

In Minnesota, hundreds of people gathered in front of the Ukrainian American Community Center in Minneapolis to take part in an urgent rally in support of Ukraine. The event, organized by the Ukrainian American Community Center and StandWithUkraineMN, was a strong call for continued international support for Ukraine and a reminder that the Ukrainian community in Minneapolis stands steadfastly with Ukraine in its struggle for independence and freedom.

This was reported by Ukrainian American Community Center.

"As we pass the three-year mark since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, our Minnesota community has shown incredible support for the Ukrainian people as they fight for their freedom. On Monday, February 24, we marched to commemorate the third anniversary of the resistance to the full-scale invasion. And on February 28, people gathered again to show solidarity with Ukraine despite the political turmoil. America supports freedom not because it is easy, but because it is the right thing to do. The United States cannot afford to be weak on the world stage, because world peace depends on it," noted concluded.

Participants began the march at the Ukrainian American Community Center and headed to the Hennepin Ave bridge, carrying Ukrainian flags and placards with slogans of support.

Participants called on the U.S. government to continue supporting Ukraine, especially in the military and humanitarian fields. It was emphasized that democracy and freedom should be protected not only by words but also by concrete actions.
