The exhibition "The Woven Spirit of Ukraine" by contemporary artist Marina Lukach has opened in Washington

The Ukraine House is hosting a solo exhibition by Ukrainian artist Marina Lukach, who works in textile and mixed media art. The exhibition will run until July 15.

This was reported by Ukraine House.

It features 26 of Lukach's works from a Las Vegas gallery that have already been exhibited in the United States, Great Britain, Italy, Germany, the UAE, the Netherlands, Austria, Cyprus, and Ukraine.

During the opening, a meeting was held with representatives of the Ukrainian community and friends of Ukraine. General Keith Kellogg, the U.S. President's Special Envoy to Ukraine, visited the gallery. During the children's program, Kellogg viewed the exhibition, expressed his admiration for Lukach's artwork, and took an active interest in the creative process.

Oksana Markarova, Ukraine's ambassador to the U.S., thanked the artist for her contribution to cultural diplomacy.

As part of the opening event, Ukrainians of DC organized a social evening for the community where guests could chat and sample Ukrainian cuisine from RUTA.

In the coming weeks, other representatives of the U.S. government and international diplomacy will visit the exhibition. The organizers are planning a closing event in July where the artist will be present.

"The Woven Spirit of Ukraine is a unique combination of tradition and modernity, where each stitch tells a personal story," the organizers added.

The exhibition is open to the public at Ukraine House (2134 Kalorama Rd NW, Washington, DC 20008). Admission is free.
