The 10th annual New York Chorus Festival is a charity concert dedicated to supporting victims of international disasters, including those caused by war and natural disasters.

The festival featured choirs from Japan, the United States, and Ukraine. The performance by the New York-based Ukrainian choir “Dumka,” conducted by maestro Vasyl Hrechynsky, particularly captivated the audience.
"We are proud to represent Ukraine on such a significant stage!" said the choir members.
The New York Chorus Festival is an event that brings together music and solidarity. The stage at Carnegie Hall united artists from different cultures and continents. Admission to the concert was free, but attendees could donate to Japanese and Ukrainian humanitarian organizations that assist victims of natural disasters and war.
"Dumka's performance at Carnegie Hall is more than just a concert. It is part of a strategic process of bringing Ukrainian cultural identity to the forefront on a global scale. It is further proof that, despite the war, we are a talented nation defending itself while also creating, inspiring, and shaping a new cultural agenda for the civilized world," said public figure Oleksiy Taran, sharing his impressions of the event.
At a time when Russian cultural expansion has shaped the image of "great culture" for decades, Ukrainian art shows the world a profound alternative: a free, intellectual, and inspired culture of resistance and dignity.
"Our music, our language, and our voices are part of a significant dialogue about what 21st-century culture should be. In this conversation, the Ukrainian voice must be loud, professional, and confident," Taran added.
The festival featured performances by Dumka, the Grace Chorale of Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Interdenominational Choir, the Japan Yanpa Chorus, the Vocal Ensemble Minerva, and numerous women's choirs from Japan.
