The Ukrainian community of Texas gathered for a special event that combined Ukrainian traditions and modernity. The event took place on August 30 at Ecclesia Houston – West Side Campus and became an important platform for supporting those who arrived under the U4U program. The Easter egg painting workshop, safety briefing, delicious treats and live music created an atmosphere of unity, and the performance of Bria Blessing added special emotions to the event.
This was reported by Ukrainian Houston TX.
Participants had the opportunity to attend a free Easter egg painting workshop, receive useful information about emergency preparedness in Texas and take home disaster kits.
The organizers also took care of the refreshments – snacks, coffee and tea were prepared for the guests. The atmosphere was complemented by live music, two guitars and warm Ukrainian songs. The performance of singer Bria Blessing, known for her participation in the show “Voice of the Nation”, added emotion and inspiration to the meeting.
“We sincerely thank everyone who joined our workshop today! Special thanks to Iryna Petrovskaya Marciano for conducting the master class, Luba Petrusha for the extraordinary pysankas, Ecclesia – West Campus for providing the space, as well as the talented Bria Blessing, who delighted us with her performance of Ukrainian songs,” wrote Helen Skovpen.
The event brought together adults and children, creating an atmosphere of support for all those who are far from Ukraine. For many participants, it was an opportunity not only to learn more about Ukrainian culture, but also to feel part of an active community that together overcomes challenges and preserves traditions.
