The American Coalition for Ukraine Board has undergone significant changes aimed at strengthening trust, improving governance, and expanding its leadership team. Namely, rotations in the leadership team, the creation of an Advisory Board, and the introduction of a new operating structure.

The organization announced several important changes in leadership aimed at ensuring a more effective implementation of its mission to support Ukraine. In particular, Kate Tremont has completed her term on the Board.
“We are sincerely grateful to Kate Tremont for her dedicated work at ACU over the past year. Kate is leaving her position on the Board to focus on other commitments. We wish her success in her future endeavors,” the statement said.
In addition, the Board voted to remove Sara Chadzynska from the position of Board member. The reason was the identification of problems during the organization’s internal audit.
“This decision was necessary to maintain the trust and integrity that our community rightfully expects from ACU leadership,” the ACU said.
As part of its strategic development, the organization announced the creation of the first-ever ACU Advisory Board. It will be led by Dr. Zaher Saloul, a current board member.
“He will work to build a team of advisors whose expertise will help guide our strategy and strengthen our operations,” the ACU said.
In addition, an operational leadership structure was implemented in the first half of the year. It includes volunteers who work daily to develop the community.
“These leaders are currently working with committee chairs to create working groups that facilitate the coordinated work of ACU at all levels,” the statement explained.
All of these steps, according to the ACU leadership, are aimed at strengthening the organization’s potential and increasing its impact in the community. The Board is also expected to expand after the upcoming summit.
“Following the upcoming summit, we plan to expand the Board by inviting new members who share our values and vision. We will share more about the selection process soon and welcome your recommendations for exceptional leaders who could contribute to our mission,” the ACU said.
The Board also emphasized that they will continue to focus their work on supporting Ukraine and serving the community.
“With integrity and efficiency. These leadership changes strengthen our ability to deliver on this mission, ensuring the proper governance and communication you deserve,” the ACU Board said.
The organization also thanked the community for their trust and partnership in a common cause – supporting Ukraine and defending shared values.
