Revived Soldiers Ukraine and Protez Foundation held a meeting with the clergy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Chicago

In Chicago, representatives of the charitable organizations Revived Soldiers Ukraine and Protez Foundation met with the clergy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and Bishop Venedikt Alexiychuk. The meeting had a symbolic purpose - to discuss joint humanitarian initiatives and support for Ukrainian wounded soldiers.

This was reported by Revived Soldiers Ukraine.

As Revived Soldiers Ukraine reported, together with Protez Foundation, they organized a meeting with the clergy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church to express gratitude for the many years of support. Church representatives constantly help Ukraine - organize gatherings, charity festivals and bless initiatives aimed at helping seriously wounded soldiers.

The meeting was attended by UIC Hospital doctors, including the official medical director of Revived Soldiers Ukraine, Dr. Yevgeny Pavelko, and surgeon Dr. Chandra Hassan, who has visited Ukraine six times with charitable medical missions.

In particular, the American colleagues were introduced to a delegation of Ukrainian military doctors - Colonels Rostyslav Gebalo and Hryhoriy Prokhorenko from Kyiv and Lviv hospitals, as well as a representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Colonel Ivan Stetsk.

The Ukrainian doctors arrived in Chicago as part of a new project by Revived Soldiers Ukraine, which involves training Ukrainian surgeons at UIC Hospital using the modern “da Vinci” system. In the future, the foundation plans to purchase a surgical robot for Ukrainian hospitals.

In response, the Ukrainian delegation presented the American doctors and clergy with certificates and thanks from the Medical Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the meeting, Bishop Venedikt, founder and president of Revived Soldiers Ukraine Iryna Vashchuk Disipio, co-founder of Protez Foundation prosthetist Yakiv Radynar, and Consul General of Ukraine in Chicago Serhiy Koledov also spoke. They thanked for the support and emphasized the importance of joining forces to help the Ukrainian military. They also expressed their gratitude to the restaurant “Varenychok” (Oksana Koledova), volunteers Ivan Shpirka, Pavlo Chervinsky and Mariana Balash for their organizational assistance and musical accompaniment of the event.

After the meeting, the Revived Soldiers Ukraine team, together with the wounded military personnel undergoing treatment in the USA, joined the Liturgies at the Cathedral of Saints Volodymyr and Olga and the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas in Chicago.

Bishop Venedikt, Fathers Pavlo Drozdyak and Roman Artymovych thanked the benefactors for their support and sincere prayers for the Defenders of Ukraine.

It is worth noting that during the services, parishioners of both churches raised $14,910 to help seriously wounded Ukrainian soldiers who are undergoing treatment and prosthetics in the United States.

Among those present that day were Ukrainian heroes - Vitaly Belkin (129th Separate Brigade of the TRO of Kryvyi Rih), Andriy Pylypchuk (3rd Separate Assault Brigade) and a Belarusian volunteer with the call sign “Wolf”.
