The Ukrainian Bandurist Choir of North America successfully completed a series of concerts under the slogan “Ukraine Lives! – Everything Will Be Ukraine!” in Morristown, Middletown, Philadelphia, and College Park. A special performance of sacred music was also held at St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Manhattan. The tour’s goal is to amplify Ukraine’s voice on the international stage and highlight the uniqueness of Ukrainian cultural identity.
This was reported Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus of North America.
“This performance is more than just music – it is a celebration of Ukraine’s cultural heritage and resilience,” the Choir said.
The program combined the enchanting sounds of the bandura, the 60-stringed national instrument of Ukraine, sacred choral music performed in Manhattan, and live performances of Ukrainian songs symbolizing strength, faith, and hope.
Of particular note was the concert of “Sacred Choral Music” at St. George’s Church in Manhattan, which drew a wide audience. This event was a moving moment of spiritual unity and joint prayer for Ukraine.
“Another tour to make history! Thank you to all our supporters in Morristown, Connecticut, New York, Philadelphia, and College Park, Maryland. Rehearsals for the Bandura Capella of North America (UBC) are hard work, but all these efforts are justified when we see the expressions on your faces: smiles, joy, sadness, and love. We see you and appreciate everything you do for us and, of course, for Ukraine!”, shared tour participant Yarema Hrytsiv.
All funds raised during the tour will go to the Bandura Educational Fund, an initiative to support young musicians and preserve the traditions of the bandura art.
“Your contributions have allowed us to bring the beauty of Ukrainian art to new audiences and strengthened our determination to preserve this heritage for future generations,” the Capella members thanked the sponsors for their assistance in holding the tour.
Recall that the Ukrainian Bandura Band of North America recently received the 2025 National Endowment for the Arts Intangible Cultural Heritage Preservation Fellowship, which highlights its contribution to the promotion of Ukrainian culture outside of Ukraine.
