A ceremonial reception was held in the US capital on the occasion of Armed Forces of Ukraine Day, which brought together Ukrainian and American military personnel, veterans, representatives of the US Administration and Congress, diplomats, volunteers and friends of Ukraine. US partners confirmed their support for Ukrainian defenders, and the Ukrainian side emphasized the key role of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in protecting the free world.

“Together with Ukrainian and American services, veterans, representatives of the US Administration and Congress, volunteers, diplomats and friends of Ukraine, we celebrated Armed Forces of Ukraine Day in Washington, DC,” the Embassy of Ukraine in the US reported.
As reported, the US Special Representative for Ukraine, retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg, addressed the audience with words of support for the Ukrainian military, and Major General Borys Kremenetsky expressed deep gratitude to the United States for their unwavering support. The Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Olga Stefanishyna, made a speech in which she emphasized the resilience and courage of the Ukrainian defenders.
“Hundreds of thousands of our defenders continue to hold the defense on all fronts – on land, in the air and at sea. Their courage and resilience are what holds the line of freedom every day not only for Ukraine, but for the entire free world. Our partners could learn about this directly from our military, in particular the defenders who are in the United States for rehabilitation,” stated Olga Stefanishyna. stated Ольга Стефанішина.
It was also noted that during the event, they paid tribute to the fallen heroes and expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian military for their dedication to the fight.
“Together we honored our heroes and expressed gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their indomitable strength and dedication to the cause, which allow Ukraine to stand strong and inspire the world. Eternal memory to all who gave their lives for the independence of Ukraine,” the Embassy’s message notes.
Ukraine House, which participated in the organization of the event, emphasized the importance of the American side’s words.
“It was a privilege for us to hear the speech of the US Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, who confirmed America’s unwavering support for Ukraine,” Ukraine House representatives noted.
In particular, it is specified that the ceremonial reception was hosted by the Defense Attaché of Ukraine to the United States, Major General Borys Kremenetsky. The event became a common platform for Ukrainian and American partners, who expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian military.
“The reception brought together Ukrainian and American military personnel, veterans, representatives of the US Administration and Congress, volunteers, diplomats, and friends of Ukraine to celebrate this important day and express our shared gratitude to the Ukrainian defenders,” the USUBC statement said.
