Ukrainian youth in the USA raised $4,000 in support of the Armed Forces with a carol

The final event of the Christmas cycle of generosity, initiated by the youth of the School of Noble Youth of the Ukrainian Catholic Religious Society “Saint Sophia” of the USA (TSSA), took place in Philadelphia. As part of the initiative, it was possible to raise $4,000 to help the Ukrainian military.

This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Catholic Religious Society “Saint Sophia” of the USA.

On January 17, the Christmas cycle of carols in support of the Ukrainian military was concluded with the charity event “Let’s Sing Carols Together!” in Philadelphia. The youth of the School of Noble Youth, founded at the TSSA in September 2023, raised $4,000 to help the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the Christmas and New Year period, young men and women visited Ukrainian organizations, announcing the good news of the birth of Christ and at the same time raising funds to support the army. The culmination was a nativity play, a joint carol singing and a silent auction, which took place in the TSSA House.

Among those present at the event were Ukrainian military personnel undergoing rehabilitation in the United States as part of the Revived Soldiers of Ukraine Foundation program. The event was also virtually joined by servicemen from the Barney Company of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade Edelweiss, led by Commander Stepan Barna.

“The war changed us, forced us to reconsider our values and priorities. For the TSSA, these were increased charity and investment in the younger generation,” emphasized the head of the TSSA, Iryna Ivankovych.

She also emphasized that the support of the military was made possible precisely thanks to the active participation of the students of the School of Noble Youth

“Our students are both Ukrainians born in the USA and those who found shelter here from the war. Today’s event is the result of their efforts and their contribution to victory.”

Company Commander Stepan Barna thanked the society for their constant assistance, spiritual support, and patriotic education of the youth of the Ukrainian diaspora.

At the end of the event, the participants shared a Christmas message of hope, emphasizing that the light of the newborn Savior is a source of faith in the victory of Ukraine and everyone’s shared responsibility for its approach.
