Over $15,000 Raised for Wounded Ukrainian Soldiers in Palatine

In Palatine, Illinois, the Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic Church parish raised $15,075 during charity events to support Ukrainian defenders. The funds will be donated to the Revived Soldiers Ukraine charity fund, which provides treatment and prosthetics for seriously wounded Ukrainian defenders in the United States.

This was reported by Revived Soldiers Ukraine.

“Together we save lives. Together we fight for every Ukrainian defender!”, the message says.

As reported, during the day the Revived Soldiers Ukraine team was present at four Liturgies in the parish, where charity collections were held. Thanks to the support of the community, it was possible to accumulate funds for medical care and prosthetics for Ukrainian soldiers undergoing treatment in the United States.

In particular, gratitude was expressed to the parish priest, Father Yaroslav Mendyuk, and the community for their support. The contribution of activist Mariana Babiy, who organized the meeting and has been helping wounded defenders for many years, was also noted.

It was also noted that during the event, Ukrainian servicemen who are currently undergoing treatment in the United States, including Maksym Korzh (46th Separate Airmobile Brigade), Taras Orel (82nd Brigade of the Airborne Forces) and Artem Borysenko (151st Mechanized Brigade), addressed the community. They thanked the community for their support and assistance.

Separately, the event was attended by military doctor Andriy Samoilenko, who has been operating on wounded soldiers in Kyiv since 2014 and is currently undergoing treatment in the United States with the support of the foundation.

“Having held four charity meetings, we once again felt the incredible strength of the Ukrainian community abroad,” the organizers emphasize.

According to the foundation’s representatives, the funds raised will be used for the treatment, rehabilitation, and prosthetics of Ukrainian servicemen who were seriously injured during the war.

“We sincerely thank everyone who joined this good cause – for their donations, prayers, support and concern,” Revived Soldiers Ukraine summarized.
