Ukraine has significantly strengthened its presence at one of the largest US investment forums – the SelectUSA Investment Summit. This year, 40 Ukrainian companies in the fields of IT, AI and drone technologies are participating in the summit, presenting innovative developments and opportunities for cooperation and attracting investments to American partners.
This was reported by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Olga Stefanishyna.
“For the first time, Ukraine is so powerfully represented at the #SelectUSA Investment Summit – and this is about our authority and economic future,” the diplomat emphasized.
According to her, Ukrainian companies are presenting modern commercial and technological solutions to American partners, demonstrating the rapid growth of the Ukrainian innovation ecosystem even in conditions of full-scale war.
“40 innovative companies – mainly in the fields of IT, AI and drone technologies – are presenting Ukrainian commercial opportunities for cooperation with American partners. For comparison, last year there were only 12,” Stefanishyna noted.
Within the framework of the summit, the Ambassador of Ukraine held a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian delegation and American partners, in particular with David Vogel, Assistant Secretary for Global Markets of the US Department of Commerce and Director General of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service.
During the talks, the parties discussed the prospects for expanding the Ukrainian-American economic partnership, investment opportunities and cooperation in the field of high technologies.
“The Ukrainian market continues to develop rapidly and offers significant opportunities for US private capital,” the Ambassador emphasized.
The parties paid special attention to defense innovations, drone technologies, the IT sector and developments based on artificial intelligence.
According to Olga Stefanishyna, Ukrainian business today creates world-class technologies in the face of constant challenges of war and quickly scales them to international markets.
“Ukrainian business today creates unique technologies in the face of daily challenges and immediately scales them to global markets. Interest in Ukrainian companies is growing,” she emphasized.
The Ukrainian Embassy also noted the support from the US Department of Commerce and the personal participation of David Vogel in the meeting with the Ukrainian delegation.
Another important topic was the activities of the U.S.-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund.
According to the parties, the fund has already received more than 280 applications from potential participants and approved the first project.
“The fund strengthens investors’ interest in Ukraine and expands the foundation of bilateral economic cooperation,” the meeting participants noted.
The Ambassador of Ukraine also invited the American business delegation to visit Ukraine to establish direct partnerships and study investment opportunities on the spot.
