The President noted that today the influence and role of the United States are no less important than in previous historical periods. He emphasized that Ukraine is currently fighting for independence and freedom with the same aspirations that once inspired Americans.

He stressed the importance of American military and political assistance, in particular the supply of the Javelin and Patriot complexes. US President Donald Trump said during a telephone conversation with Kremlin head Vladimir Putin about his readiness to help find ways to end the war in Ukraine. The conversation lasted about an hour and a half and took place on the eve of the NATO summit in Turkey. This was reported by the Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, who described the conversation as businesslike and constructive. According to him, Trump confirmed the readiness of the American side to work on a quick cessation of hostilities and finding solutions to overcome the crisis.
According to Ushakov, Moscow continues to insist on a political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict, taking into account its own approaches.
Zelensky called for American determination to end the war
