At the end of NATO's 75th Anniversary Summit in Washington, the United States, the European Union and 21 other countries signed a security agreement in support of Ukraine - the Ukraine Compact.
Participants pledged to provide Ukraine with weapons and assistance in the event of a new Russian attack after the war is over.
The US President emphasised that even after the war is over, "if Putin tries to attack again, all the signatories to the agreement will support Ukraine as they do now".
"We are taking another important step in our collective support for Ukraine. We call it the Ukraine Compact," he said.
Biden also emphasised that the United States and its partners will continue to provide Ukraine with weapons, ammunition and training to repel Russian forces in the short term and help build a strong future force to defend and deter aggression in the medium term.
