This time, the gold was secured by athlete and champion Yaroslava Mahuchikh, who excelled in the high jump. This achievement allowed Ukraine to climb 11 positions in the medal standings.
In addition to Mahuchikh, on the ninth day of the 2024 Olympics, Ukrainian athletes won two more bronze medals: Iryna Herashchenko in the high jump and Mykhailo Kokhan in the hammer throw.
Thanks to these victories, Ukraine continues to rise in the medal standings. After eight days of competition, our team was in 28th place, but by the end of the ninth day, it climbed 11 positions to 17th place.
Currently, the "blue-yellow" team has six medals: two gold, one silver, and three bronze.
