Cincinnati, Ohio, hosted a celebration of Ukrainian culture and resilience - the Ukrainian Independence Day Festival. At the festival, people could learn about the rich history of Ukraine, enjoy traditional folk music and taste delicious Ukrainian dishes.

The festival menu is simply amazing: traditional Ukrainian dumplings with cheese and cabbage, stuffed cabbage with beef and mushrooms, Crimean chebureks and grilled meat, as well as pickles, salty snacks and sweets.
The festival offered handmade products from local artisans. These included gourmet chocolates, flower wreaths, alcohol ink paintings, macramé and epoxy resin products, soft knitted toys, beaded accessories, and many other traditional Ukrainian souvenirs. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the products will be used to help Ukraine. The event also included a Day of Creativity with master classes in floristry and jewelry weaving.
The concert program was also rich. The festival featured a local Ukrainian band called Verba, which performed traditional and folk Ukrainian songs. It is worth mentioning that the band consists of family members originally from Sloviansk. The audience was also entertained by the Kalyna dance group, which was founded immediately after the outbreak of the war in February 2022 and consists entirely of volunteers, and Zabava, which has been in existence since 2014.
The event was a great success thanks to the cooperation of such organizations as the Ukrainian Women's Union of America, charitable organizations Hope4Ukraine and Cincy4Ukraine, and others.
